Summer 2012: Long nights, early mornings, Canada's capital and airborne plastic. Summer 2012 will be remembered by some as the summer they went on that "sweet" vacation, the summer they had "the best night ever" and for some the summer that was so terribly boring. For myself and a group of 10 other Mississauga twenty somethings it is the summer that will be remembered as the summer of Ultimate Frisbee, or simply known as Ultimate. Ultimate shares many similarities to American football and rugby. The object is to get the Frisbee into the opposing teams net using physical skill and team work. Ultimate Frisbee isn't recognized by the general public as a "real" sport. More of a silly past time, however there is many associations around the world. But whys ultimate Frisbee so important to me. To get a little sappy and sentimental, ultimate Frisbee saved me from a drab summer that i thought i lost all my friends. But as always one specific friend stood beside me and reopened my world all over again! Met new friends; and most importantly, met my wonderful girlfriend due to such a simple game.
